New version 3.4 of PRESTIGEenterprise available
Weinheim, 12 April 2013 +++ Version 3.4 of the PRESTIGEenterprise software is now available. In the new version, Online Software AG, the technological leader in the field of professional branch advertising, has focused in particular on the direction of the software’s continued development for the support of multi-channel marketing. This means that many of the new features are designed to make thorough use of different advertising channels. An example of such a channel is the MobileBrowser app, available now for free from the App Store. It allows the retailer to manage both in-store TV programme planning and printing orders, all direct from the retail area using a mobile device. The EAN can be recorded simply by using the camera built into the iPhone or iPad. This turns any affordable smartphone into an active multi-channel tool for every branch employee.
PRESTIGEenterprise 3.4’s support of HTML5 content broadens the spectrum of supported formats for animated content. This means that many new programs are supported, such as Adobe Edge or MacFlux, which are becoming more and more commonly used by designers and agencies. This website content can be integrated just as easily into a PRESTIGEenterprise template. This not only saves time and money, but also unifies communication across all channels.
What’s more, the new PRESTIGEenterprise version 3.4 also brings with it a number of interesting innovations. For even better performance, and to make full use of server capacity, PRESTIGEenterprise 3.4 now also provides full support for 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2008R2/2012. The use of Integrated Mode in Microsoft’s Internet Information Services (IIS) improves performance still further.
To improve organisation and assignment of images, videos and web content, group-related content and templates have also been added, making it possible to restrict different people’s access to logos and images, for example. PRESTIGEenterprise 3.4’s user interface in the print container area has also been optimised. For example, the print container now has an option to assign new templates to all display boards with no popups or intermediate dialogues.
As well as this, some processes have been given the ability to run in the background. There are no wait times for the user, who can switch freely between modules in the meantime. Once the background process – such as importing a large quantity of item information – is complete, the user is notified by a small balloon window. In addition, a new page has been added to the administrator configuration panel to monitor the services found on the server, allowing the administrator to make changes. This dispenses with the need to call in higher-level IT support, in turn reducing support costs.
