Weinheim, 14 September 2021 +++ Over the past few months of the pandemic, more and more people have been thinking about where their food comes from and how it is produced. Regionality, animal welfare, organic farming and fair prices and wages are buzzwords for changing consumer behaviour.

Right next to the university in the south of Cologne is one of the two restaurants of the new catering concept "ST. LOUIS THE BREAKFAST COMPANY". It is now equipped with a screen on which you can watch chickens at work. The eggs from "ST. LOUIS THE BREAKFAST COMPANY" come from the Lehnerzt poultry farm in the Eifel region. Two live cameras with a view of the barn and the outdoor area show the chickens' everyday life, which is broadcast directly into the restaurant. This is made possible by animalwelfare.tva livestream solution that brings farmers and restaurateurs together.

During their brunch, LOUIS guests can now watch the happy hens scratching for food in the meadow and see that the laying hens are kept in a species-appropriate environment. This type of transparency is now being realised at "ST. LOUIS THE BREAKFAST COMPANY" as part of the brand message and creates trust on the part of guests as well as a connection to what they are eating. "We are convinced that we are taking the right path with this transparency and showing the customer exactly what is important to us: quality and fair treatment for animals and people," explains Sascha Bayer, Managing Director of ST. LOUIS THE BREAKFAST COMPANY, Cologne, explains the decision in favour of the livestream of animalwelfare.tv.
