But in Unterschlei\u00dfheim near Munich, searching for specific products is a thing of the past. Here, it's all about finding instead of searching. Following extensive remodelling of the REWE Dugonjic store in Unterschlei\u00dfheim, customers are greeted at the entrance by Alexa, Amazon's voice system. With the help of the integrated PRESTIGEenterprise software from Online Software AG, customers can playfully find out where they can find certain items in the store. Alexa first explains via voice output which aisle the desired product is located in and then shows the way there on a large screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"I wanted to offer the people of Unterschlei\u00dfheim a modern store with digital elements that enable a connection to the online world and the associated services,\" says owner Husein Dugonjic, explaining his decision in favour of the strikingly high use of digital devices in his store, adding, \"Customers have learned to use and appreciate the benefits of digital retail in the last two years and I want to combine these worlds to offer my customers the best customer service: More information available on site and more advice options, even for those customers who don't like to ask the sales staff.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The customer-friendly, language-based application behind this solution was developed by Online Software AG. All content is managed and populated by the PRESTIGEenterprise software platform. This content can be changed quickly and easily at any time. This means that customers are always up to date with their purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The customer can find the desired product on the shelf very easily, barrier-free, using only the spoken word. Added value for both the consumer and the retailer. REWE Dugonjic offers an extensive range of around 20,000 everyday items on a sales area of approx. 1,680 square metres. The focus is on fresh produce, regional products and convenience.
