The advantages of electronic shelf labels are obvious: centralised price control, excellent product and price up-to-dateness, fast updates, time savings through automation and reduced workload for employees. Ever since e-paper technology made it possible to display fonts, numbers and logos in an energy-saving way - and even highlight them in colour - ESL technology has been all the rage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"After investing in the hardware, the biggest challenge lies in managing the content and integrating it into the existing IT landscape. Users usually use an existing software system, such as PRESTIGEenterprise, to plan their store advertising\", explains Fritz Hanzek, Sales Consultant ESL, adding \"It is therefore helpful if interfaces to the ESL management system exist and electronic shelf labelling can also be planned and distributed using the existing software\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fritz Hanzek, ESL expert, has been advising Online Software's retail customers on their ESL integration since October 2022. Born in Austria, he helped build up the retail tech company imagotag and brought it to success as a leading provider of electronic price tags for bricks-and-mortar retail. Hanzek later joined SES imagotag as Senior Executive Vice President CEE and member of the Global Management Board with responsibility for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
