The first REWE store in Luxemburg addresses customers digitally
REWE:XL Hundertmark opens the first REWE store in Luxemburg and places great value on the implementation of modern digital POS communications with PRESTIGEenterprise.
Weinheim, September 28, 2017 +++ REWE:XL Hundertmark, just opened this past April as the first REWE store in Luxemburg, was constructed according to the most modern criteria. Of course, this could not be accomplished without digital elements. Altogether five screens are installed behind the service counter of the Echternacher REWE store, one each for the meat, sausage, cheese, fish and hot food counter sections. The successful family-run business, Hundertmark, belongs to REWE West and also obtains the content displayed on the screens from them. « In the medium term we also wish to complement the standard program running on the screens with regional content, so that our customers feel at home, » explains businessman Björn Hundertmark, who runs the second generation company together with his brothers, Jörg und Dirk Hundertmark. The Digital Signage Software PRESTIGEenterprise from Online Software AG allows for these regional modifications to the centrally specified instore playlist with little effort. REWE Hundertmark already uses screens at the service counter areas in two of altogether 10 stores in Rheinland-Pfalz. With Echternach (Luxemburg) a third store with digital elements has been added. The integration of further screens is planned for remodeled locations in 2017 and 2018, as well as for a planned new construction. In addition, at each remodeled location modern double screen scales, on which advertisements will supplementally run on customer screens, shall be implemented. Especially at service counters, awaiting customer gladly accept entertainment and information on scale screens. There is no better place for promotional messages. With PRESTIGEenterprise REWE Hundertmark is also able to present its own topics on the scales.
