Menu board (also: digital menu board, menu display)

A menu board is a software-controlled display system for dynamically presenting special offers, prices and product information on screens, primarily in the catering industry, but increasingly also in food-related retail outlets (bakeries, butchers, supermarket bistros). The content is managed centrally via a CMS, can be scheduled to change automatically and can be linked to stock management or till systems. Compared to static price labels or printed materials, the menu board enables immediate updates, cross-location control and targeted sales promotion at the point of sale.
