Artificial intelligence as an assistant in the creation of digital signage content
Generate digital signage content at the touch of a button? The PRESTIGE AI Copilot makes it possible! At EuroCIS 2024, we presented our AI solution for the first time, which will simplify daily advertising planning for retailers. The artificial intelligence-based assistant can take over the compilation of content for price and advertising communication on the screens at the POS. And it can improve their advertising impact, as the PRESTIGE AI Copilot draws on a broad database when compiling offers.
How the PRESTIGE KI Copilot works
The PRESTIGE AI Copilot is integrated into the PRESTIGEenterprise user interface in the form of a chat window. If you open the chat, you can enter your work instruction - called a prompt - and receive suggestions for implementation. Behind this is ChatGPT from OpenAI, which is connected to PRESTIGEenterprise via a self-programmed AI interface.
For the presentation at EuroCIS 2024, we provided the PRESTIGE AI copilot with various item data with information on the manufacturer, product name, price, quantities and product image. The artificial intelligence can also access various layout and design templates in PRESTIGEenterprise. Internal analysis data from past campaigns as well as external weather data and seasonal trends are also incorporated into the content creation process.
After entering a corresponding command in the chat window, the PRESTIGE AI Copilot generates a thematically and content-optimised playlist, which is then automatically distributed to the previously defined screens in the store. The playlists are based firstly on the information provided in the prompt and secondly on the data that the artificial intelligence can access.
Example barbecue playlist
If a retailer wants to display a playlist on their display stand in the entrance area of a supermarket that advertises barbecue products, for example, they can simply let PRESTIGE AI Copilot put it together for them. To do this, the artificial intelligence creates a new playlist in PRESTIGEenterprise, takes into account the current weather, selects products with suitable content for the "barbecue" occasion, combines these with a thematically appropriate template and distributes the generated playlist to the screen of the stele in the entrance area. This not only saves the retailer time, but also creates relevant content that attracts customers' attention and ultimately increases the retailer's sales.
The retailer can later make changes to the playlist as required, add or remove products or adjust item data such as the price - simply by issuing a corresponding command to the PRESTIGE AI Copilot. Instead of entering the prompts as text in the input line, it is also possible to communicate with the PRESTIGE KI Copilot using voice control.
Through the targeted use of AI technologies, we want to support PRESTIGEenterprise users in further optimising their workflows, reducing the time they spend on creating in-store communication and increasing the effectiveness of their in-store advertising.
Playlists for retail media at the POS
The possible applications of the PRESTIGE AI Copilot are manifold. The more analysis data is available as a basis for automated playlist creation, the more successful this type of web communication will be. For example, retailers can provide the PRESTIGE AI Copilot with the current weekly offers as well as checkout and analysis data from past promotions in order to further improve the playlists. It is also possible to generate retail media playlists based on bookings from industry partners. Even personalised playlists tailored to the individual needs and preferences of customers are within the realms of possibility using AI, provided the necessary data can be made available.
The presentation of our AI solution at EuroCIS and the dialogue with trade visitors and our customers impressively demonstrated the potential of artificial intelligence in conjunction with PRESTIGEenterprise. We are looking forward to future projects in this area and, of course, to developing further use cases for the PRESTIGE AI Copilot with our customers!
