What you can expect this year
Baseball taster session
We will meet at 4.00 pm at the Schriesheim Raubrittern where the coaches of the youth, women's and men's baseball teams will give us an introduction to all positions followed by a training session to increase our batting strength (ages 12 and up). We get the ball rolling, or rather "on first base", at the joint baseball taster session.
RebenPause gourmet evening
Afterwards, we will round off the evening with all the basemen and women in the RebenPause vineyard under the open sky. Look forward to a delicious gourmet menu with typical Bergstrasse specialities in a cosy garden ambience and a romantic view of the Bergstrasse vineyards.
Registration
Look forward to a varied day and register yourself and your companions for the online family festival by 30 August 2024. Please indicate how many family members will be accompanying you.

Organisational matters
Clothing
Sporty clothing is an advantage on the baseball field. Solid trainers and jeans will do - although it's certainly very entertaining if you hit a home run in evening wear and high heels. There is no real age limit, you just need to be fit enough to hold the bat and a certain amount of agility is certainly helpful when trying to hit the ball.
Arrival/ Parking
You will find car parks in the immediate vicinity of both locations. The baseball field and Weingarten are 2.6 km apart, which you can cover by car or train or even walk. Take tram line 5 to Zentgrafenstraße for the baseball pitch and get off at Schriesheim Süd for the vineyard.
