Price communication

Price communication refers to the way in which companies communicate price information to their customers. It includes both the visible presentation, such as price information on packaging, in advertising materials or in online shops, as well as strategies with which retailers communicate their pricing at the POS. These include, for example, discount campaigns, price advantages or bundled offers to encourage customers to buy. The aim of price communication is to present the price clearly and transparently, convey the price-performance ratio and positively influence the customer's perception of the price (e.g. by using threshold prices or discounts) in order to encourage purchasing decisions.

The software platform PRESTIGEenterprise from Online Software AG supports price communication at the POS and enables retailers to centralise the management of printed and digital price communication. The connection to merchandise management systems and marketing databases also enables the automated adjustment of all price information so that price changes are communicated consistently across all sales channels and customers always receive up-to-date information.
