Weinheim, Thursday, 13/02/2020 +++ Online Software presents key future trends around the topic of customer communication at and for the POS at EuroShop from 16-20 February 2020. The Weinheim-based software company, together with partners, presents print and digital solutions with the influence of virtual assistants, artificial intelligence (AI) and many other cutting-edge technologies on its PRESTIGE Solution Campus in Hall 6/A79.
The PRESTIGE Solution partners Allgeier Enterprise Services, Caddon, Grossenbacher Systeme, Nexgen smart instore, Oki Europe and Samsung Electronics present exciting ideas for the optimisation of communication processes in retail under the motto “Transparency at the POS – Clear customer communication with PRESTIGEenterprise”. From modern print solutions and digital customer communication on screens, video walls, information terminals, tills and scales to mobile communication using apps and voice systems, visitors can expect many ideas that will facilitate everyday work at the point of sale and perfect advertising communication.
1. ADAM event box
The ADAM Infopoint makes it possible to playfully pull customers in with accessible figures which produce comprehensive product information using NFC technology. So, for example, the small model cruise ship produces information about the wide range of cruise trips – and even shows, live, where the cruise ship is currently located on the seas of the world. Customers can access a wide range of information and can view everything on the screen.
2. Voice services – voice control at the POS
The PRESTIGEenterprise software platform uses the Amazon Echo virtual assistant as a contact point for retailers and end customers. It answers questions, on the basis of all available information, from both retailers and end customers – at home as well as at the POS. The voice system can be supplemented by additional information displayed on a screen.
3. tierwohl.tv – streaming from the animal shed
With the tierwohl.tv live TV solution, Online Software AG offers an easy-to-install digital signage solution based on the PRESTIGEenterprise software platform.
tierwohl.tv supports retailers and farmers in communicating their commitment to better animal welfare to consumers in a convincing and credible manner. The aim is to give consumers in grocery stores a direct view, via live TV, into the husbandry and living conditions of the animals whose meat they buy and whose eggs they want to eat.
4. Lift & Learn
Wouldn’t it be practical to get information about the product that you are currently holding in your hands? With the Lift & Learn solution, individual product information can be provided when an item is picked up from the shelf. The system differentiates between different packaging, even when a product is in the wrong place on the shelf. Ingredients, origin and information about corresponding products can be shown on a screen over the product category. You thus captivate customers with a surprising service and more information about what they are really interested in.
5. PRESTIGEenterprise 6.0 with new user interface
In the new PRESTIGEenterprise version 6.0, not only has the performance been improved, the user interface design has also been given a polish. A completely redesigned user interface with a minimalist appearance and modern grey tones, complemented by many new icons, now welcomes the user. It’s even easier to see what’s important, and orientation is improved as a result. Stability, quality and performance are always the top priority for Online Software, playlists which run reliably on screens are therefore typical of PRESTIGEenterprise. The software also stands for perfect, fault-free print management. The new user interface is also reflected in the iOS and Android-based app for the software. MobileBrowser provides you with easy and convenient access to PRESTIGEenterprise via a mobile input device such as an MDE or a smartphone, and thus to the management of all data directly at the POS. Scan an item’s barcode or enter the data manually by keyboard. The data can either be stored on the device or be transmitted online to your web server via Wireless-LAN/UMTS. With this process automation, print jobs can be sent immediately to the back office printer or the offers can be broadcast as electronic posters, videos or animations on your advertising screens.
