Authentic customer communication was one of the key topics at the 14th PRESTIGE Partner Day in Heidelberg, where REWE Systems and SuperBioMarkt, among others, presented their PRESTIGEenterprise-based solutions.
Weinheim, 17 January 2020 +++ Under the motto "Transparency at the POS - clear customer communication with PRESTIGEenterprise", retailers, service providers and manufacturers discussed how authenticity in customer communication at the POS affects customer purchasing behaviour at the 14th PRESTIGE Partner Day. The annual industry event once again brought many retailers and retail experts to Heidelberg on 14 January 2020 to share their experiences.
Prof Dr Stephan Rüschen, DHBW Heilbronn, opened the event with his keynote speech on artificial intelligence in retail. He gave a good overview of the status of developments in artificial intelligence (AI), used many examples to raise awareness of the areas in which AI is already standard and gave a promising outlook on the further development of this technology. The Belgian market, its special features and the influence of Generation Z and millennials on in-store communication were presented by Chris Van Wesemael, retail expert in the non-food sector at Gondola. Participants learnt how retailer REWE Richrath's live stream project became the tierwohl.tv initiative and Jörg Lambertin from SuperBioMarkt spoke about the digital challenges facing the organic sector. Rosemarie Knapp and Ralph Wilshaus from REWE Systems reported on how to successfully implement a strategically sophisticated concept for a digital customer approach in over 1,500 supermarkets.
In addition to the presentations from the field, the focus was on presenting the new features of the PRESTIGEenterprise software platform. In the Experience Campus, participants were given a live insight into all the new features.
