The 13th PRESTIGE Partner Day was filled with topics relating to successful communication concepts at the POS and how retailers can continue to score points with customers at the right moment in the future.



Weinheim, 17 January 2019 +++ Under the motto "Moments of Truth - Scoring points at the right moment", experts from the international retail sector met again in Heidelberg for the PRESTIGE Partner Day organised by Online Software AG. Every year, customers and partners of the software company discuss topics relevant to stationary retail. The industry event, which took place for the thirteenth time, has established itself as a fixed date in the retail world in recent years.
Prof. Dr Oliver Janz, who heads the Retail and Textile Management course at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, shed light on the challenges of digitalisation for bricks-and-mortar retail. Martin Heinzmann from fashion retailer Hagemeyer - recently recognised by Textilwirtschaft as one of the top 100 digital pioneers in the fashion industry - spoke about new, cross-media concepts that are transforming retail into a third place for customers. Ramon Teixidó reported on the creation of new customer touchpoints at Forum Sport, one of Spain's largest sports fashion retailers, taking into account the new self-image of customers always being the centre of attention. Dirk Faßbender and Bastian Sperlich spoke about the brand new Alexa skill "Reisebüro" from sonnenklar.tv travel agencies and what influence voice assistants will have on the tourism industry in the future. Kai Schumann from EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Nord provided insights into the implementation of the various requirements of a co-operative for branch advertising.
Tobias Weber reported on cost reductions and reduced workloads following the introduction of PRESTIGEenterprise software at Möbel Rieger, and Michael Sylvester, thought leader and long-standing retail manager, discussed the digital touchpoint potential in international DIY retail.

In addition to the presentations from the field, the focus was on the presentation of the new version 6.0 of the PRESTIGEenterprise software solution. At the Experience Campus, participants were able to find out about the software platform's growing analysis functions and mobile app and voice options, as well as new efficient hardware platforms.
