The restaurant concept belongs to Hermann Hagemeyer Gastronomie GmbH, which operates the catering in the Hagemeyer Galerie in Minden. Among other things, hermann's offers a daily changing lunch menu and would like to install a further service with the new skill so that Minden residents and visitors to the tranquil little town on the Weser feel at home at Hagemeyer.
"Now our customers can have their breakfast menu read out to them, telling them what they can look forward to all morning," explains Martin Heinzmann, COO at Hagemeyer and, together with the hermann's service team, responsible for the restaurant operations. "In addition to the customers of our fashion store, many guests from Minden and the surrounding area also come to hermann's during their lunch break. It is important to us that our establishment is a popular meeting place for everyone and becomes the "third place", the number one place to be after home and work."
The questions that the hermann's skill answers independently are analysed by the PRESTIGEenterprise software and the appropriate answers are automatically provided for Alexa. The content can be updated by the hermann's team itself at any time, such as the day ticket.
"The dishes on the daily menu include many regional highlights. If a dish can no longer be offered due to high demand, we quickly remove it from the menu via PRESTIGEenterprise and Alexa no longer reads it out," explains Martin Heinzmann. "We already use the basic PRESTIGEenterprise advertising system at Modehaus Hagemeyer to manage the digital advertising content on various screens and the video wall. Managing the skill was therefore a sensible extension for us, without too much effort".
In future, table reservations will also be offered via Amazon's voice assistant and a "fast lunch" service will be realised, where food will be on the table on time if ordered in advance. Hagemeyer stands for modernity and innovation and not only wants to play a leading role in fashion retail, but also wants to inspire its customers to shop in-store. This also includes a natural approach to the digital world.
