Solutions from the areas of "personalised customer approach" and "seamless communication" were the main attractions at the Online Software AG stand.




Weinheim, 14 March 2017 +++ At EuroShop 2017, the online software was all about the perfect customer approach at the POS and beyond. Modern applications relating to the trending topics of "personalisation", "omnichannel retailing" and "seamless communication" were the focus of interest for trade visitors. At the PRESTIGE Solution Campus, retailers and retail experts learnt about new ways of using digital technologies for customer communication and the customer's desire for a better shopping experience and more networking of shopping channels.
Under the motto "Shopping with a smile", Online Software, together with its solution partners Allgeier Enterprise Services, AOPEN, NORDLAND systems, Reditune, Samsung Electronics and Tradesolutions, presented many new ideas for addressing shoppers emotionally in the shop at EuroShop - from classic print solutions to digital customer communication on screens, video walls, information terminals, checkouts and scales to mobile communication via apps and mobile solutions for modern, convenient working.
The response to the first presentation of the new PRESTIGEenterprise 5.2 version, which will be launched on the market in May 2017 with a pioneering monitoring tool, was particularly positive. In conjunction with the extended PRESTIGEenterprise services, powerful tools are available for creating bots that perform repetitive tasks largely automatically. In future, PRESTIGE bots will be able to help retailers with daily tasks and answer questions about current digital signage systems and their content. For example, "What content is currently running at the fresh food counter?" or "How often has a particular brand been displayed?". This will make it much easier and quicker for retailers to analyse the status of their campaigns in the shops and react to sales trends.
However, ideas for the use of bots by end customers were also well received by visitors to EuroShop. In future, customers could use the intelligent bots to call up offers that are of particular interest to them, for example in the tourism sector, travelling at a certain time or to a desired location.
"The launch of the brand new connection between PRESTIGEenterprise and Amazon's Alexa voice system met with a surprisingly high level of interest," summarises Jürgen Berens von Rautenfeld, CEO of Online Software. HIT Sütterlin was the first retailer in Germany to launch a PRESTIGEenterprise-based skill in the Amazon Store. "Here, PRESTIGEenterprise was once again able to prove its strength as a multimedia software platform. We attach great importance to ensuring that our customers not only have their day-to-day business perfectly under control with PRESTIGEenterprise, but are also equipped for future technologies."
