Fully integrated Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) solution in combination with the merchandise management system from SHD and the digital POS advertising platform from Online Software AG
Heidelberg, 05/03/2025 +++ We managed to go live with a complete ESL installation in the specialised product range area of our furniture store in Steinheim within just a few weeks," says Jan Hintze, the IT project manager responsible at Möbel Heinrich. "Our partners SHD, Online Software and LNConsult supported us from the initial idea through to implementation, enabling us to realise this project smoothly."
Das Ziel bestand darin, in einem überschaubaren, preisorientierten Fachsortiment elektronische Preisschilder (ESLs) in verschiedenen Größen einzuführen. Diese sollten nahtlos in das Warenwirtschaftssystem von Möbel Heinrich integriert und an die Softwareplattform PRESTIGEenterprise angebunden werden. Dadurch wollten wir die Vorteile des Auszeichnungsmediums optimal nutzen und gleichzeitig die Kundenakzeptanz sowie die Benutzerfreundlichkeit testen.

"Together with Online Software AG, we were able to easily integrate the ESLs into our SHD ECORO & MHS merchandise management system and realise them as a further component of the customer approach at Möbel Heinrich."

With the knowledge gained from these first ESL installations, further steps are being considered at Möbel Heinrich. "We naturally see the possibilities of digital customer contact across the entire area of our furniture stores. Large-scale installations of displays and digital signage solutions therefore also play a role in our considerations for the future design of our customer approach," concludes Jan Hintze.
With the integration of the electronic shelf labels, Möbel Heinrich is supplementing its existing extensive customer communication in the shop. Based on the existing IT solutions from SHD and Online Software AG, a comprehensive digital signage network with over 60 screens is already in operation in all shops and the print functionality is also used for price and advertising communication. With the complete networking of all output media, the furniture store in Steinheim is a pioneer and the basis for the company-wide concepts for addressing customers on the sales floors.
